My Story
If you’ve found your way to my little space on the web, chances are good that you already know at least a little something about me. I’m a late 20’s guy from the Detroit area. I’m a recently retired couch potato, for the second time.
I’ve been married for almost 5 years to my wonderful wife L, who is currently pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in nursing. I’m also in school, about halfway through my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Michigan – Dearborn.
L and I live in our own little space of metropolitan Detroit with our two dogs, Maui and Rio. Both dogs came from rescue groups, which I believe are the best places to find dogs if you’re looking. They’re both wonderful dogs, despite their little quirks. We’ve had Maui for a bit over 3 years now, and Rio for just a bit over 2 years. I’m sure at some point I’ll post pictures of them somewhere on here.
Currently, I’m working as a testĀ engineer in Ford’s Engine Dynamometer LabĀ on the midnight shift. While the midnight shift doesn’t exactly provide my preferred working hours, I’ve started getting used to it for the most part. This shift allows me to continue my studies, as the on campus versions of classes are only offered in the evenings. When given the ‘option’ when I started, the choice was either the afternoon shift or the midnight shift. Picking the midnight shift may have been the more lonely option, as there’s only about 15 people in the building during the shift, but everybody on the shift knows each other and we’re like our own little ‘family.’
